The $4.5 million redevelopment of 19500 Ventura Blvd. into a medical professional building has reached the halfway point and is on track for substantial completion by the end of the year. With that milestone reached, the 45,000-square-foot complex has begun leasing for health care tenants as well as restaurants for 4,000 square feet of ground-floor space at the corner of Ventura Blvd. and Shirley Ave. in Tarzana.
Designed by Michigan-based architecture firm Harley Ellis Devereaux, the redevelopmentincludes a new façade, contemporary interiors and tenant lounge areas. The property will offer valet parkingand 144 parking spacesto give patients ease of access and feature alarge open-air atriumfor outdoor seating and a living wallthat will use greenery toframe theground-floorwalkways. The project is located just south of the 101 freeway, a mile and a half from the new $624 million Providence St. Joseph and Cedars-Sinai redevelopment that is expected to be completed in 2023.“Tarzana has become a hub for health care inthe San Fernando Valley,andthis project providesmuch-neededsupply to meet the high demand, particularly among those seeking spacenear the Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center,” said Scott Romick, managing director and principal ofLee & Associates –LA North/Ventura, who is handling leasing for the property with the firm’s Eugene Kim.
